North Carolina Home Inspector Licensing Board Information
To all Home Inspectors and Associates:
Effective on March 1st , 2009, the following modification to the "required" summary statement will be mandatory on your written inspection reports.
11 NCAC 08 .1103 PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This summary shall contain the following statements: “Thissummary is not the entire report. The full report may includeadditional information of interest or concern to the client. It isstrongly recommended that the client promptly read the complete report.For information regarding the negotiability of any item in this reportunder a real estate purchase contract, contact your North Carolina real estate agent or an attorney.”
Everyonewill be receiving a new publication of the Board Rules that willinclude this amendment, the 2009 Continuing education Update, and theGeneral Statutes. I strongly recommend that you make the changes toyour reports immediately.
